Yes, packaging is important to us. Yet, packaging materials can be harmful to the environment. As online retailers sending thousands of packages yearly, we are aware of our responsibility. This is why we decided to change our packaging concept.
Safe and sustainable, environmentally friendly packaging
To deliver our products to you safely and undamaged, we fill our boxes with 100% environmentally friendly, biodegradable filling materials. These chips are plant-based, made of potato- or cornstarch and can be placed in organic waste containers or composted.
The benefits of glass
Glass is ideal for packaging. Made of natural materials, it is durable, environmentally friendly and can be recycled. It is also the safest option for the consumer as compared to plastic, it does not interact with the food kept inside.
Glass can withstand heat up to 500°C, therefore, it can be hygienically cleaned even at very high temperatures. It also keeps the food from external harm, protecting its valuable qualities and freshness. While green glass lets some UV rays penetrate, brown glass is nearly impenetrable. This is why our cold-pressed oils are kept in recyclable, elegant, special brown bottles especially developed for foods sensitive to photo-oxidation.
White bottles for the most delicious Pödör delicacies
Even in ancient cultures, high-quality, essential vinegars were kept in white bottles to protect the food inside and showcase the character of the fruit. Reuse our recyclable spice jars once or twice or place them in selective waste containers.
